Overcoming 10 Years of Severe Menstrual Pain and Endometriosis
Symptoms:
Patient “L”, a woman in her 30s, had suffered from chronic endometriosis and severe menstrual cramps for over 10 years.
Her symptoms were extreme — vomiting, stomach spasms, diarrhoea, fatigue, and total immobility during menstruation.
Even with the maximum dose of prescribed painkillers, the pain remained unbearable.
Our Approach:
“L” began a one-year holistic healing programme combining:
Acupuncture and moxibustion to warm the meridians and improve blood flow.
Meridian massage and electro-qigong therapy to restore nerve sensitivity in the lower back and pelvic area.
Chinese herbal medicine for internal balance.
Mind-body counselling to reconnect her with her body’s natural intuition and emotional awareness.
During treatment, we discovered that her lumbar region was completely numb — a sign of long-term energetic stagnation. She had also lived with chronic “cold stomach” and internal tension since childhood, which she had learned to ignore.
Our focus was not only to relieve pain but to awaken her connection to her own body — to help her feel again, trust her inner signals, and no longer avoid pain or change.
Healing Progress:
Stage 1:
Her body gradually regained responsiveness. For the first time in years, painkillers began to work again, allowing her to rest during her period.
Stage 2:
She started to feel the cold and tension in her abdomen and womb area, becoming aware of how her body tightened unconsciously.
This awareness helped her make lifestyle changes — keeping her body warm, avoiding cold drinks and food, and learning to relax both physically and emotionally.
Stage 3:
Her cramps became milder and manageable, digestive symptoms improved, and her energy level rose.
Most importantly, she developed a new relationship with her body — one based on listening, care, and self-trust.
Results:
Pain levels dropped from severe to manageable.
Vomiting and digestive discomfort almost disappeared.
Her sleep, mood, and energy improved.
She gained emotional clarity and a renewed sense of control over her life.
Holistic Insight:
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, cold and stagnation had reached her stomach and uterus, causing severe pain.
But from a multidimensional view, her long-term pain also reflected a deeper emotional numbness — a disconnection from feeling, responsibility, and change.
The healing journey was not just about easing symptoms; it was about awakening awareness — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Through reconnection with her own body, she no longer lived in “auto-pilot” mode.
Pain became her body’s way of saying, “Wake up — it’s time to live again.”
